  • 1/3 cup (67g) granulated sugar
  • 4 tablespoons (57g) unsalted butter, at room temperature
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 large egg yolk
  • 1/4 teaspoons Fiori di Sicilia*
  • 1/4 teaspoon anise seeds, ground, optional
  • zest (grated rind) of 1 orange
  • 1 cup (113g) confectioners' sugar, sifted
  • 2 to 3 tablespoons (28g to 43g) orange juice or milk
  • sprinkles or nonpareils, for decorating
